Samsung has been flourishing in the Indian market segment in Q3 2020 while OnePlus Nord becomes the mid-range premium model under Rs 30,000.
With the sheer hit of the pandemic this year, the smartphone market has seen a drastic rise in its growth and revenues. The gadget segment of the industry seems to flourish and recover at the same time. As per the popular sources and research, the Indian smartphone market has seen a shipment rise in Q3 2020.
As per the latest gadget news India, nearly 5 million units were sold in India in the first quarter seeing a rise of 9 per cent. The affordable section range between Rs 10,000 – Rs 20,000 had been mainly responsible for the growth in the revenue in the market. One of the best selling phones under Rs 30,000 segment has been OnePlus Nord. In the affordable premium segment, OnePlus 8 did shine somewhere.
Taking the top position in Q3 2020 is Samsung. Xiaomi turnaround market chain has degraded to 23 per cent right from 26 per cent YoY. On the other hand, the Korean smartphone brand has hiked to 24 per cent right from 20 per cent YoY. You can already see the benefit of nearly 32 per cent in the Indian market. But Counterpoint has been suggesting that Xiaomi has been carrying the stagnant position with a percentage of 26 in the share of Q3 2020 while Samsung has been marked second.
Speaking about the other brands, Vivo rose to 4 per cent making it to the third position. On the other hand, RealMe saw a rise of 52 per cent in YoY. The credit goes to the RealMe 7 and 6 models. Oppo came forward to a rising of 30 per cent YoY in shipments. While premium brands like Apple surpassed OnePlus with their ever exceeding model, iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone 11.
