Keeping strong to its commitment when it comes to urban mobility, Spanish motoring brand SEAT is all set for its new venture. It is finally going to launch its new motorcycle market. The presentation of the same will be showcased through the SEAT eScooter concept.
Known for its grand car models, SEAT has presented some great models in the automobile market. This further includes the Ibiza, Leon and Cupra. The brand will now put forward its step with the concept of the scooter to the Smart Expo World Congress in Barcelona on November 19.
SEAT is going to sell its own 100 percent electric motorcycle which is equivalent to a 125cc model that too in 2020. This has been confirmed by SEAT itself on its release.
The new concept of the e scooter is going to be indulged in the company’s urban mobility strategy. It will aim at offering sustainable solutions for cities. SEAT announces that it would spearhead the Volkswagen Group’s micro mobility strategy at the last edition of the Mobile World Congress.
The formulation of the further stated strategy involved the SEAT Minimó concept car. Along with the same, it also includes SEAT eXS Kick scooter powered by Segway which was showcased at the 2018 Smart City Expo.
President of SEAT, Luca de Meo said, “the constant growth of large cities makes achieving efficient mobility one of the main challenges to overcome. Today we are taking a further step in our urban micro mobility strategy by confirming the launch of the first eScooter in the history of the brand.”
Barcelona is that European city that covers most of the motorcycles per capita. Also, it has got a long-standing two-wheeler mobility tradition. One of the main reasons has been this for the launch of the concept. SEAT is further going to formulate this concept in association with Barcelona-based electric motorcycle maker Silence. It will be sold to both private customers as well as for sharing fleets.
In the procedure of becoming a mobility services provider, SEAT goes beyond the scope of developing vehicles. It copes for an effort to respond to one of the major mobility trends of the future. This further includes the collaborative, shared, sustainable economy.
Speaking of the same, the brand continues to offer car sharing services with the collaborative venture with Respiro. Along with the same is the selling of the SEAT eXS KickScooter powered by Segway. This is also available for sharing services through the start-up UFO at the same time.
Not only this, SEAT has been presenting the SEAT Minimó concept car. It is a 100 percent electric vehicle that formulates the best of a car and a motorcycle. The design has been to specific for adapting to the mobile platforms that are going to shape the future of driving in the cities.
