Honda introduces its new Activa 6G, their first BS6 compliant scooter with new technical advancements revealed
The all-new Honda Activa 6G has launched in the Indian market on 15th January. The new scooter comes with new specifications and technical advancements. Formulated with a new engine, the new scooter has been gaining such a welcome after its debut in 1999 in India.
Speaking of the latest Honda news India, the features of the new Active 6G is worth commendable. It acquires telescopic shock absorbers after nearly 2 decades. There are many more specifications to be revealed before that let’s commence on acquiring knowledge about the engine.
The new Honda Activa 6G is a BS6-compliant version with HET engine. Formulated with Honda Eco Technology, the enhanced factor is about the SI engine formulated with sensor-based advanced PGM-Fi system.
Powered with 109.51cc, 4-stroked engine, the scooter delivers 7.79 hp of power and 8.79 Nm f torque.
The special feature about the engine – Smart Power combined with the new advent of technologies like Honda ACG starter (influences silent start). With reduced maintenance, the scooter further is Tumble Flowed, omits gear meshing and gear engagement noise.
Apart from this, the new Active 6G offers 10% better mileage but has fallen a little off guard in terms of power.

Honda engineers have stagnated the signature Active design with the infusion of contemporary and modern outlook. The digital instrument features new analogue speedometer in the Active 6G.
There are new bells added for engine start and stop button. Implementation of a dual function switch also catches the glance. The switch allows the rider to open the seat, featuring 18L of storage space and external fuel lid as well.
The new Active 6G features 6 colours variants namely – Glitter Blue Metallic, Pearl Spartan Red, Pearl Precious White, Matte Axis Grey, Dazzle Yellow Metallic and Black.
The scooter comes in 2 variants – Standard offered at Rs 63,912 and Deluxe offered at Rs 65,412. Speaking on the prices, the standard versions is nearly Rs 7,978 costlier than its previous version, the Activa 5G. Even the Deluxe is Rs 7,613 costlier than the previous one.
