In the first week of January, Americal motorcycle manufacturer Harley Davidson collaborated with Chinese Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle – the Benelli brand to produce small-displacement motorcycle in the Indian market. The brand is going to borrow the Benelli 302 engine. Basically, this engine makes use of 300cc parallel-twin engine delivering 38.2 bhp and 26.5 Nm of torque.
As per leaked reports and sources on the latest bikes news India, Harley Davidson is expected to make use of the same engine creating a 338 cc motorcycle, launching around June 2020. The brand is all set to make its official announcements regarding the features as well as the apt date of the launch. In the coming days, there will be more specifications revealed.
Furthermore, Harley Davidson is all focused on building an entry-level, small capacity motorcycle for the Asian markets. That means the core markets are going to be – Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Australia and India.
The company may also launch the segment in China along with a global launch. The production launch is all set by June 2020 but to reach the Indian market, you might have to even wait for early 2021.
