Bajaj CT 100 is certainly not a bike that has seen the light of the day recently. On the contrary, the bike had been launched early in 2001 and since then it has enthralled millions of buyers all over the sub-continent. The new variant of CT 100 with BS6 compilation has been launched in July 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The graphics of the bike is almost the same as it was in the earlier versions. This is the Third Generation variant for the Indian bike.
The upgrades –
Just like the BS4 variant (launched in 2017), the new version of BS6 variant has the same 10.5L fuel tank, glossy body-paints and technically sound 4-speed gearbox that produces an output of 8.6PS at the rate of 7000RPM. The top speed limit is the same as before 95km/h. The fuel economy measure is the same as before 75km/l. However, there are LED DRL lights added in the newer variant and the bigger size of the vehicle may require slight upgrades to the gearing and speed measures over the time. The dashboard also has a “check engine light” option to alarm the biker regarding any foreign anomaly.
Weight –
The bike has a new weight of 115kgs. The braking set up in the front is 130mm and rear 110mm with a combined breaking system.
Wheels –
The new variant has 17-inch alloy wheels with tube tires. The feel on the road with the bike is supposedly to remain almost the same with a feeling of additional smoothness while on road.
Benefits –
Bajaj CT 100, the new variant is completely Indian-road friendly. The bike’s controls are better with speed limit controls, while all the accessories are available in the market. Hence, even in the pandemic period, a new biker would not have to worry about the servicing of the bike.
The economic mileage is a package benefit towards the new buyers, who may enjoy a happy riding. The bike is not very heavy, yet not hard to control. The new upgrades with the front lights would enormously benefit the bikers in both the rural and urban areas in various conditions.
Competition –
The bike can compete with many similar variants from Yamaha and Honda, two of the most popular Indian bike variants. However, the price range and comparable selling ratio may push the others behind in the race. Henceforth, the new variant of Bajaj CT 100 seems to hit the market with large and promising prospects in 2020-21.
The buyers should check out the latest showroom-price updates for Bajaj CT 100 (BS6 variant) prior to book their vehicles.
