Bajaj Auto has recently showcased the all-electric Chetak Scooter for the Indian market. This electric scooter is creating the buzz mainly because this iconic Chetak brand has made its comeback. And this has been after nearly 14 long years. The scooter is termed to be launched next year in 2020 in January.
Speaking of the same, the brand has not yet disclosed the entire set of features and its price. They have saved it all for its launch. Bajaj has also marked its clarity with its Urbanite brand that will be completely responsible for selling the electric vehicles only. The electric scooter has been kept as a premium offer. This will help to rise against the Ather 450. While the company has not disclosed all of its specifications of the Chetak scooter, you can find some of the basic comparisons with Ather 450.

Both the e-scooters are highly alluring to look at. Yet, both the scooters are very much different in case of design and appearance. The Chetak electric sports curated a retro-modern design. It carries heavy resemblance with the Vespas.
The front gets a rounded headlamp and the scooter heads for a curvy bodywork. This further seeks adds to the retro appeal. The rear end of the scooter has the split type LED tails lamps. It is another visual highlight.
Speaking of Ather 450, it has got the sporty vibe. It has got sharp edges and has also creased across its body. This outlook further makes it stand out from the crowd that too in the world of e-scooters which is at present available in India.

Saying the same, you will not have to worry about riding your bike in monsoon. Chetak comes with 2 riding models – Eco and Sport with a respective range of 95km and 85km. On the other hand, Ather 450 has 3 riding models – Eco, Ride and Sport. Eco offer 75 km range, Ride and Sport offers 65 km and 55 km respectively.

Bajaj has already spoken about the batter related to the Chetak electric. It is a fixed type and is not removable. The brand will be presenting you with in-built charger with the vehicle and customers will be getting a home charger at a nominal costing which is not yet disclosed.
Ather 450 takes 4 hours to charge using a 5amp socket. With the help of fast charging points, it can be charged up to the rate of almost 1km per minute. Speaking of the charging connections, Chetak electric does not have fast charging. The battery can be charged with the use of 5-15 amp socket with an estimated charging time of 3 to 5 hours.

Both of the scooters have got an all-LED lighting system. Cheta electric has a properly digital instrument cluster. On the other hand, Ather 450, gets a fully coloured 7-inch TFT touchscreen.
Both of these scooters are directly connected to your mobile phone through respective mobile applications. This will help you to check the health of your scooter and also track record of their maintenance and everything.

On the other hand, Ather 450 could come for a price of 1.13 lakh in Bangaluru. Speaking of the availability, Bajaj Chetak electric will be first showcased in Pune followed by Bengaluru and other parts of India.
Ather 450 is presently available in Bangaluru and Chennai. It will be soon launched in Hyderabad, Delhi, Pune and Mumbai.
